TIME WARNER CONDOMINIUM

This 3,500 square foot duplex condominium residence is located within the 80 story, 750-foot tall Time Warner Center – with sweeping views of New York City, Central Park and the Hudson River. The total renovation included the replacement of everything down to the concrete and also entailed inverting the main living space and bedrooms.

The goal was to create a minimalist museum-like space for living in the sky for an owner that would reside in New York only occasionally. The living level is entered on the 75th floor, with stairs that lead down to the bedrooms, which are on the 74th floor.

All of the materials and finishes are of the utmost quality. The floors, which counterpoint the white walls are custom stained White Oak by LV Hardwood in NYC. The kitchen is Bulthaup, while all other cabinetry is custom fabricated walnut and stone.

The central column in the living area is paneled on four sides with 3/8” thick polished stainless steel that creates a reflection of the view but with some unique and intended distortion. There is no trim anywhere on any doors, windows, or walls. The living room ceiling has a glass and mirror internally lit sculpture that was created in collaboration with the sculptor Johanna Grawunder.
