Jake Donghyun Kim has over 11 years of experience in design and project management, from concept through construction, including high-end commercial and residential projects. Throughout his work and publications, he has focused on the living environment, from small-scale details to large-scale approaches in urban settings.

In addition to his professional work, he served as an Adjunct Faculty member at NJIT and as a part-time faculty member at Parsons School of Design. He has also participated as a guest critic at SAIC, NYIT,NJIT, and Parsons.
