Nathan was born and raised in Southern California and has also lived in the Central Coast, Kentucky, Colorado and Oregon. He received his Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in Sustainable Environments from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He was particularly inspired during a year of studying in Copenhagen, Denmark and experiencing design, people and culture all over Europe. These opportunities and others have infected him with an incurable travel bug.
After graduation his path of self-discovery led him to work for theater/film set designers, the film production industry and to do freelance spatial planning/interiors work for private clients. Through these occupations he was able to regularly travel throughout the US and sometimes abroad, learning a variety of local cultures and aesthetics.
Always fascinated with the interior environment, Nathan decided to pursue a graduate degree in Interior Architecture at the University of Oregon. He graduated in summer 2012 and was happy to move to San Francisco (his favorite US city) to join CCS. He loves just about anything having to do with progressive art, design, music or food and is always eager to learn more.
